Re: Could all this angst about the owners give Moyes a free ride?
He only ever sets up not to lose. Look at the home matches with Bournemouth and Palace. We didn't look to win either of them!

Re: Could all this angst about the owners give Moyes a free ride?
He steadied the ship but Saturday was awful, he set up not to lose the game and it backfired. Had we have gone to Brighton and given it a really good go and played Hugill and Hernandez up top and still lost then you can say we at least tried to take the game to them. But Saturday was pathetic, we were nothing.

I can't wait for this cunt to fuck off in the summer, not that the other cunts will pay anything half decent to replace him.

Re: Could all this angst about the owners give Moyes a free ride?
I think we've looked slightly better since he's taken over, but I don't know how anyone can say he's improved us to a point where they'd be happy to see him continue into next season for us.

We're still just as boring to watch under him as we were under previous managers we've had.

Moyes' substitutions are fucking crap.

Re: Could all this angst about the owners give Moyes a free ride?
Moyes inherited a complete car crash left behind by Bilic

The board urgently needed to get several quality players in during the window. They didn't. Whether or not that was down to Moyes we'll probably never know, but I somehow doubt it

I fully expect us to get relegated now with the crap lopsided squad that we have & don't believe the greatest of managers would be able to prevent that from happening

It's all very well saying we should be playing attacking football but we don't have the players available capable of doing that

BFS left behind a side that basically defended & Bilic tried to change it by signing a lot of expensive wingers of dubious quality without bothering to address the problem which was the midfield

He got lucky with Payet, who, when added to BFS's defensive team made us a half decent side for a while, though we still never dominated games

The transition from boring defensive football under BFS to decent attacking football has been difficult but will never improve until the midfield problems are addressed

I don't see Moyes sticking around after the end of the season whether we stay up or not

The problem is the board, though as with BFS & Bilic before him, Moyes will be the scapegoat

Moyes needs a kick up the arse but when he gets left a squad as thin as ours it doesn't seem right to. Not buying a CM in the window was absolutely criminal.

That's a fucking dire statistic, Danbury!

Arsenal at home - no shots on target
Arsenal away - no shots on target
Shrewsbury away - no shots on target
Wigan away - no shots on target
Brighton away - one shot on target

Yes, Moyes is getting a free ride. Irrespective of injuries. We have 11 players on the pitch. FFS, lets at least try and create chances and have a go. The level of football is dire. The atmosphere is dire and getting more toxic at each game. The way things are, on and off the pitch will result in one thing. Relegation.

The board have not done him any favours, but if he manages to keep us up, he's just another uninspiering 'safe pair of hands'.

Bare minimum jobbie.

Re: Could all this angst about the owners give Moyes a free ride?
I think people are giving him a "free ride" because he's come in and stabslised a sinking ship. We are missing a lot of key players and the board have fucked him up the arse in the transfer window. So it's hard to point blame at an interim manager who'll be gone at the end of the season.

I think the difference is the latest BHA game took place after the transfer window and the venting is going towards the board

"He's certainly getting less flak than normally after the BHA game "

Yep, people don't seem half as bothered as they were when they beat us last time.

Re: Could all this angst about the owners give Moyes a free ride?
Of course it's not his fault.

Man United wasn't his fault.

Real Sociedad wasn't his fault.

Sunderland wasn't his fault.

West Ham isn't his fault.

He could have been given a chance and also let down, real life is not just one thing or another.

The supporters of this club have been let down, but I don't think Moyes has.

He's been given a chance to resurrect a career that basically fell apart.

Re: Could all this angst about the owners give Moyes a free ride?
I have to say i thought Moysie looked mentally tired at his press conference .
He and the fans and team have been let down badly by those who run the club one month a whole month for a 4 month loan and a Chumpionship striker who cannot score, fucking pathetic.

Re: Could all this angst about the owners give Moyes a free ride?
We also have 4 first team players out even the sainted Alex of Ferguson would struggle with 4 first teamers out though as many have mentioned our new man in midfield who set up yesterdays goal is taking Lanzini's position nicely.

Re: Could all this angst about the owners give Moyes a free ride?
Yesterday's goal from Mr Mexico was fucking ace though.
